EN 301 549 is a European procurement directive for public services. The standard defines minimum standards that information and communication technology products must meet in the area of accessibility. These minimum requirements are designed to make websites, software and other IT products more accessible.

The public service is therefore required to introduce only accessible IT products. EN 301 549 is the first European standard dealing with the accessibility of information and communication technology. The standard will soon be converted into German law.
